Autocomplete input field not working

    Hi there. I recently reported a conflict between Polylang and Yoast Duplicate Post but I didn’t receive any answer… but anyway… The problem is everytime I rewrite and republish a post, the linking between the native article and the translated one breaks. This means if a user reads an article and then click on a language to display the translated article, he will be redirected to the homepage instead of the post.

    That being said… I found out another user having the same problem. He told me there’s no real fix yet and to use the autocomplete input field to manually restore the linking between the articles.

    I tried but there’s a problem… I open the article I republished with Yoast Duplicate Post, write the title of the article I want to link to it in the field, and it finds anything but the article in question… I mean, I see the dropdown menu with the articles to choose from and the only one that is missing is the one I need… It’s absurd… What should I do now?

    Hello,

    I suggest that you look for a conflict. I just tested Polylang and Yoast Duplicate Post together and I can’t reproduce the issue with the autocomplete field.

    Never mind, I’ve found a solution. It may be artisanal but it’s better than nothing… Whoever in need can take a look at it here.

    What I don’t understand is that I’m not the only one having this problem… Maybe a theme related issue?
