When I visit the General Settings tab of your plugin, under Bulk Optimization of Images there are usually a list of files that can be optimized since I add files almost daily via FTP to my /uploads directory. If I run Bulk Optimization the number drops to 0 but I don’t want to have to check this screen periodically to force those new image to get optimized. Is there a way to those images to optimize automatically instead?

Note: I see on the Advanced Tab the option “Convert automatically images from custom directories (e.g. from /themes or non-standard in /uploads)” but I’m afraid to check it as I don’t want all custom directories to automatically optimize and accidentally break something. Does this only apply to the directories I select under Supported directories on the General Tab? If so, perhaps the that advanced option description should explicitly state it only applies to the directories I select. Even better, if the advanced option appeared next to Supported directories on the General Tab to make that point more obvious.

Otherwise, I’m very impressed with your plugin. Thank you!

    Hi @dmitriamartin,

Thank you for your message. I’m glad you like our plugin.

If you check the “Convert automatically images from custom directories” option, images uploaded via FTP will be automatically converted. If you only check “/uploads” in the “Supported directories” field, it will still only detect unconverted files from the /uploads directory.

    Best,
    Mateusz
