    Hello,

I have the plugin setup to do Origin Push using AWS Clousfront. The distribution has been created fine in Cloudfront and if I click on purge CDN completely or purge and specify a path then I see those invalidations in Cloudfront.

If I make a change to a page or a post, there is no automatic invalidation of the page or post and I have to do it manually. I don’t have Purge CDN Manually set as I would like it to be done automatically.

Can anyone offer any advice on how this should work?

    Many thanks
    Neil

    Hi Marko,

Thanks for your message, unfortunately i’m unable to attach screenshots to my message.

Under general we have everything ticked except Add canonical header

Under advanced we only have Add CORS header ticked and the text boxes all have the default values which we have not amended.

    Hello @neilgreggs

Thank you for sharing the screenshot.
As I can see these settings are for origin Pull and not Push. Can you please confirm the CDN type you are using in the General settings?
    Thanks!

    Hi Marko,

Yes we have origin pull (cloudfront) set in the CDN general settings.

The options for push mention using Cloudfront with s3 but we use a seperate plugin for uploading images to a s3 bucket that we reference in cloudfront.

Do we need to be using push with s3 to get the function we require?

    Thanks!

    Hello @neilgreggs

Is the problem with the other plugin or W3TC CDN?
Can you pleas share which files are not invalidated?
    Thanks!

    Hi Marko,

The other plugin works fine and uploads images to a S3 bucket that is used by Cloudfront.

The W3TC plugin does not automatically invalidate any pages unless I manually specify the path or select to purge the full cache. When I do either of those then it will invalidate in Cloudfront. Should it not invalidate automatically when a change is made to a page and saved?

    Thanks

    Hi Marko.

Do you have any recommendations for things for me to try to get the auto invalidation working?

    Thanks
