Automatic Authentication against AD

    I realise there is a lot of information out there about this, but I have a specific requirement.

    Is there a plugin or other module which will deal with the following scenario:-

    On an Intranet, users will be logged into AD in Windows. They will access a WordPress site hosted on Linux/Apache and have that site automatically authenticate and identify the user against the AD without the need to log in again.

    I have made plugins that access AD work, but always require logging in again, and I have seen solutions for the automatic authentication which involve the WordPress site being hosted on Windows IIS, but this requirement is for the WordPress site being hosted on Linux/Apache.

    Any ideas?
