Hello again, Joachim
Sorry as I still get confused with this issue. I´m working on it and still cannot find the way to solve it.
I have placed 3 tickets and I´m sure my confusion is due to some kind of misswording on my part.
Please allow me to show you where I get confused
In ticket https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/automations-and-expiry-issues/#post-14618245, you wrote:
If the Access Level is synchronized with a role, the expiry will be for as long as the user has the specified role, which can be indefinite.
In ticket https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/automations-and-expiry-issues/#post-14649332, you wrote:
“Restrict User Access does not remove roles given to users by other plugins. As mentioned, the Duration option will not apply to levels synchronized with roles.
In ticket https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/automatic-expiration-feature/, you wrote:
“Yes this is possible, though it will require that you setup different levels with different durations.”
Here is a screenshot of an example of a level settings and it´s role.https://snipboard.io/HL1lah.jpg
Role “rua-art-deco” is automatically assigned by WP-Automator plugin
the moment the person buys the membership through Woocommerce.
As you can see in the screenshot the Duration of the Level is set to 30 days in
RUA CPanel./ Options.
I HAVE FOUND NEW SETTINGS UNDER “MEMBERS” which I set up like this:
https://snipboard.io/LSM4En.jpg
Finally, the only capability granted is “Read”
With these settings the system works fine and content is finally restricted as expected.
Now, what I need to know if , with this configuration , the person will have
access denied to this restricted content (Rua-art-deco) after these 30 days have been reached as things are set in RUA Options settings.
OR if I still will need to resolve this permission removal with a third party plugin
as for example, Automator-schedule-actions / https://automatorwp.com/add-ons/schedule-actions/ that I have found, which allows for schedulling a given action and force it’s execution after a given time delay.
So the simple question is which is the way (or alternative ways) to deny access to a given member who has completed his membership period of time?
* Is Options/Duration enough setting for this purpose?,
* Is there a smarter way to configure this that I still couldn´t figure out?
* Will I need an extra plugin for this matter?
Please clariy
Thank you and regards
Liliana
