Automatic line breaks after each hyperlink

Hi,

Since I’ve upgraded to 3.1, every hyperlink automatically results in a line break, visible when viewing the post or page (even old pages & posts created before the upgrade to v3.1).

If looking at the html there is no obvious reason why there should be a line break.

The posting http://manxbirdlife.im/wp-admin/post.php?post=1686 includes the text ‘are now available here.’

When viewed via the website this is spread over two lines like this:
‘are now available here
.’

The HTML for this is: ‘are now available <span style=”color: #160e83;”>here</span>.</div>’

This seems to be a similar problem to one reported a few years ago, see http://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/all-text-links-forcing-line-break-problem?replies=2.

Is there a fix to my problem?
