Hello, this plugin is really helpful, I just want to clarify something with regards to its configuration on the advanced tab about the scheduled optimization. Based on my understanding that this is a way of automatic optimization of images base on hourly base right? Does this mean that when I upload an images, it will automatically optimize that images? Second thing, we are concern about optimizing images and serving it on webp(NextGen format), does this plugin already convert it and optimize automatically when new images are been uploaded? Thanks for your response.

The plugin automatically optimizes images you upload without scheduled optimization (normally).
However, some plugins don’t use the standard uploader, like forms plugins and such, which is where the scheduled optimization comes into play: https://docs.ewww.io/article/4-getting-started

And yes, we have direct integration with NextGEN, and can convert those images to WebP when they are uploaded.

Thanks for your clarification, so in short, when we upload images on media library it is automatically optimize? and convert it to webp(NextGen Format)

Sorry, I got a little off-track when you said “nextgen”, as that’s the name of a gallery plugin we integrate with.

But the answer is still yes. When you upload to the media library, EWWW IO automatically optimizes your upload, and saves a copy of the image in the WebP format.

There are some considerations in actually delivering the WebP images to your visitors, detailed here: https://docs.ewww.io/article/16-ewww-io-and-webp-images
