Automatic Posts from Image Uploads – Watch Folder

Hi everyone,

I’ve been searching for a solution to my problem for weeks and decided it was time to call in more brainpower!

I’m looking for a way to automatically create posts (custom post type) and assign a feature image, based on files uploaded via FTP.
This has to be completely automatic (check folder every minute or so), as the images will be dribbling in throughout a live event.

I’ve got the rest of the system worked out, this is something I just havent been able to crack. I found the “Automatic Featured Image Posts” plugin, however this required a manual scan.

If anyone has any ideas it would be hugely appreciated!
