Automatic Redirects for changed URLs

I use Drupal a lot and something the URL Redirection module does in that platform is to allow generating an automatic URL redirect whenever you change a URL for a post.

The way it works is when you alter the URL on an existing post, term, or other post type a checkbox is present and checked saying something like, “Generate a 301 redirect for this URL”, you do have the option of unchecking it for posts that may not yet be known or other reasons.

It would be really nice to see this plugin support that sort of functionality.
