Automatic replacement not working?

    Im using WordPress Version 4.4.10 – a simple view source of the home page and I do not see “protected email” on my footer with a mailto link. Do I need to update?

    This plugin only automatically scans posts, comments and (text) widgets.

    To encode your emails on other parts of the site you will need to use the template function eeb_email(). For more info see the help-section on the plugin’s admin page of your site or see FAQ item “How to use email encodig in Custom Fields?”.
