    Hello,

    Release 1.0.38 – 9/17/23 introduced a new feature:

Support for automatic tracking updates in PayPal via WooCommerce – ShipStation Integration plugin

I’m not using ShipStation, but an API call from external provider is adding an order note with shipped item name, tracking number (TN) and url for the tracking preview.

Does your plugin rely on a generic method to send tracking number to PayPal or is it only adopted for the ShipStation?

ShipStation triggers a WordPress action and the PayPal plugin hooks into that action and sends the tracking into to PayPal.

If your external provide triggers an action, then the PayPal plugin can be customized to listen for it, and send the tracking into to PayPal. You can’t use a generic method because these shipping providers and plugins don’t follow a single standard for how data is represented. So that means data comes in different formats etc.

    Kind Regards
