Automatic update not working

Hello, im transferring my wp blog from an old server to a new one, im newbie in all this, so this is my first time doing all this, i have already transferred the files via ftp to the new server… but the sql file to the myphp i couldn’t, then what i did… when i accessed my website it asked for a new installation of wp, i did(maybe that’s why the sql file not working?) also the databases names are different, and i cannot change the name of the new database, the server is 000webhost, free host, i will change to a paid one once i make my website good looking a runing well, it’s the plan, i need to learn first to do things and i cant lose money which i dont have…
Then when i try the automatic update via wp panel it never works, always give me some problem, any solution? should i try upload my database sql file or remove the files from my old website and isntall all fresh new files?
