Hello, I have two share hosting accounts and each shows a different message on the dashboard about the update options. One has an option for switch to automatic updates for maintenance and security releases only and the other one does not have an option to enable or disable the automatic updates for WordPress version.

I would like to know why I have two different looks.

Is there a difference in how you installed them? For example, did you use Softaculous for one and not the other?

Softaculous usually has options pre-install for users to select these types of settings and they can override the settings in WordPress’ wp-admin.

AUTO Update:
WordPress update to major versions by default since WordPress 5.6 (opt-in), and updates to minor versions by default since WordPress 3.7
