Automatic Update Stops Straight Away

I am trying to update my site automatically but it stops at the first stage.

“Downloading update from http://ww.wp.xz.cn/wordpress-2.8.5.zip.”

Then the page download is done and nothing else happens.

Is anyone else suffering this problem?
