Are these plugins normally updated directly from within the WordPress administrative dashboard?
Are any other plugins and themes updating automatically?

Hi Paul!
I only update them manually when the auto-update from Simple Security Firewall doesn’t work. The other plugins seem to be updating normally per the automatic update settings.
Are there any known plugin conflicts for this feature of this plugin? For example Wordfence.

Well this tells me that for these particular plugins there’s an issue with WordPress automatic updates. It might be as well to contact those particular developers and see if there’s anything in there that they’re aware of. Since other plugins work just fine, and these particular premium plugins don’t, it’s down to those developers to ensure they’re compatible with WordPress automatic updates.

Alright, fair enough. Are there any settings for Security Firewall I should double-check in my database just to be thorough?

Nope, if you want plugins to automatically update, ensure the main automatic updates module is enabled, ensure you haven’t checked the box to completely disable automatic updates, and that plugins are checked on.
