    Hi there,

    I’m in the process in updating a site and I need to figure out how to update my product variations in the check out so that the other products match the same variation. The variation that I have to offer has to do with our contract length and I would like to keep it even once a customer tries to checkout. Is there a way I can do this?

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello,

    If I understand correctly, you would like to update the variations (the contract length i.e. 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, etc. as it is on the product page) at checkout.

    WooCommerce Core does not have a setting to enable this directly, you will need custom code or a plugin to do this for you.

    For example, you can use one of the following plugins:
    * https://woocommerce.com/products/advanced-product-variation/
    * https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/woo-update-variations-in-cart/

    I hope this points you in the right direction. Thanks 🙂

    Hi,

    Thanks for the quick response and yes you are correct. I think I will try those options but I think I’m still going to leave this forum open to see if there is any other options. I know those plugins cost and I’ve already spent some money on some add ons that did not work out for me.

    Hi,

    Sure, no problem at all.

    The first option Advanced product variations is indeed a premium plugin. It has a 30-day money-back guarantee. For any pre-sales questions, you can ask them here (You might need to create an account before):
    https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/

    And the second one Woo Update Variations In Cart is a free plugin.

    I hope this provides clarity.

    Just submitted my ticket request so hopefully I’ll be able to find a solution. And this did provide clarity. Sadly I tried Woo Update Variations In Cart plugin but it did not work for my site.

    Thanks again!!!

    Hi @apdmanage,

    Thank you for letting us know! You should receive feedback on your pre-sale question for Advanced Product Variation soon.

    If the plugin doesn’t help accomplish your goal, you might consider hiring a developer for a customized solution. You could reach out to some of the official WooCommerce development partners via this link – https://woocommerce.com/customizations/.

    Best regards.

    Hi @rainfallnixfig,

    I will keep the forum informed on the progress and thanks for letting me know about WooCommerce developer customization option. I will definitely go with that option if the Advance Product Variation plugin does not work.

    Perfect! That sounds like a plan.

    WooCommerce finally responded and informed me that the Product Bundles extension could be a solution for me. I’m going to test it out, if I’m not please with it I will take the custom route. Thank you all for your input I will mark this forum as resolved.

    Fantastic, I appreciate you looping back to update us.

    Please feel free to open a new topic if you have any other questions.

    Thanks!
