Automatic Youtube lightbox?

    How does “Automatically add lightbox to WordPress video links (YouTube, Vimeo)” work? On http://dev.blacktower.com/headway/lightbox/ the only way I could get the lightbox to work was in an < a href=”” rel=”lightbox” >. Raw Youtube links did not get wrapped in the lightbox. I’m running the default 2015 theme with the following page text:
