Alternatively, you could potentially write your own function to process the post using publish_post. Both are potential options for accomplishing that!

If you’re comfortable writing a custom plugin for this, you can use the add_action hook described here for publish_post along with a custom callback: https://developer.ww.wp.xz.cn/reference/functions/add_action/.
