do you have access to the database for your new wordpress installation?
I think so, through FTP. But, as you can tell, I know zip about working with the database.

ftp is not really going to help with your task if the text is inside the database as a result of the import from blogger.
ftp can help if the problem is in the WordPress loop that generates the posts as you can remove some code from the template file.
who is your webhost? your webhost might be able to help you find the access point to your database (something like myphpadmin). for webhosts with cPanel access, it is normally one of the options.
do not make changes to the database or file unless you have made a BACKUP copy first.
which method did you use to complete the import from blogger to WordPress?
can you provide a link to your website so i can see a few some examples of the problem.
My webhost is Yahoo Small Business. I haven’t talked to them about this yet.
I used the Blogger Importer plugin to import posts from Blogger. It combined the posts with a paragraph that was a separate widget in Blogger. Here’s the text I want to remove:
Dave and Dianna’s Adventures in Paradise.
Follow along as we continue exploring Belize.
As you might guess, we’re sold on Belize, so much
so that we moved here! We try to be honest and
straightforward with what we find and encounter –
good and bad.
It’s in virtually every post except for about 15 or 20 that I’ve removed manually.
Sure. Here’s the link: http://winjama.net/blog/
