Automatically Pulling in Posts from LinkedIn

    Hi All,

    I am needing to add a page to a WordPress site which automatically pulls in LinkedIn posts. i.e. As a specific user publishes posts on their LinkedIn, those posts would then pull in and display on the WordPress page. So like a live feed from a specific LinkedIn profile.

    I’ve tried looking around and I seem to find quite a lot of options for auto publishing from WordPress to LinkedIn, but not the other way around like I need.

    I am hoping someone will be able to assist / guide me on what tool or plugin I could use to achieve this?

    I do not think that is possible, but I might be wrong.

    I think it is not possible because LinkedIn is a closed network where people need to login to actually see content or profiles, in most of the cases.
    So, posting from WordPress to LinkedIn would be possible, logically seen, but not the other way around, since you would need the permission of that profile to post outside LinkedIn, which then would be basically a “sharing” feature of LinkedIn, and maximally possible as an embed of the LinkedIn Post inside your WordPress install (which is perfectly possible by pasting the LinkedIn post link inside WordPress, as long that LinkedIn post is public.)

    I am happy (and would be interested to follow to learn on top of it) to stand corrected by anyone who knows a solution to the above stated challenge by @dazzroberts!

    I fear you may be right.
    Yes I’ve also seen that it’s possible to embed a single LinkedIn post inside WordPress, but I can’t find anything about automatically pushing all LinkedIn posts to WordPress. I also had no luck with browsing through the LinkedIn Developer plugins.

    Another reason why I say I think you may be right, is because I have subsequently reached out to Taggbox to see if their tool would help me achieve this, and they have just replied to me now saying, “Since LinkedIn has made some changes to its API policies, integration of the LinkedIn feed is currently not possible. We cannnot automatically retrieve posts”.

    But if anyone was able to beat the challenge and can share insight around a solution then that would be amazing! 🙂
