Hello! This is not an issue with WPforms, but instead questions that I have regarding calculations and notifications for building a form.

    1. I would like to know if its possible to have a Number field perform a calculation based on values from other number fields. As an example, if NumberField1=5 and NumberField2=5, I would like NumberField3 to add both of them together to get the value of 10.

    2. Is it possible to populate a text box/number box based on the value from another text box/number box? As an example if TextBox1 has an email address [email protected], can that same value appear in another text box. The reason I ask is because there might be instances where this might be needed.

    3. Finally, is there a way to to have the visitor “trigger” an email to be sent out at a particular place within the form? Mr. Richardson would like to have it to where once a visitor reaches a particular part of the form, with all of the information collected, to have it send out an email to someone else to inform them that the form has been completed, but they will need to look at the form, without them having the ability to modify it, before it is “officially” submitted.

Thank you for any help that you can provide! Haver a great day!

  • Hi @edavidson,

For #1, Currently, we don’t have the feature to perform addition between two fields. I’ve made a note of the feature request and we’ll keep it on our radar to be reviewed as we plan out our roadmap for the future.

For #2, We do not have an option to populate the form fields within the same form. However, you can achieve this using the query string and redirection. Here is a guide on how to achieve this.

For #3, As the Conditional Redirect is part of the paid version of WPForms, could you please drop us a line through our contact page when you get the chance?

You’re welcome to just include a link to this post, if you’d prefer to do that.

I apologize that we’re not able to respond to paid version questions here in the ww.wp.xz.cn support forums for the free version, but I really appreciate your help!

    Thanks 🙂

Hello and thank you for the help! Much appreciated it. I will look over the link provided regarding how to populate fields (question #2).

I have resubmitted my ticket regarding the questions and included the link to this post.

I have posted the 3 questions about two times already in the past, and I don’t think the person I am trying to help build out the form has received a response. Hope to hear from you soon and thanks again for the help!

    Hi @edavidson,

Could you please confirm if you have a paid license with us?

Also, for question #2 — the query string option will not work because the value should be part of the URL. What you’re looking for would require some customization,

For question #3- The Conditional Notification is also part of the paid version of WPForms, could you please drop us a line through our contact page when you get the chance?

    Thanks!

Hello! Thank you for the feedback.

Yes we do have the paid version (Pro I believe). Your tech support has been very helpful and have been in constant contact with me on your forum at WPForm. After looking over everything it looks like all three items my client wants WPForm cannot do as of yet. I will bring this to his attention and see what he says.

    Thank you for the help!
