Sorry to hear about the issue.
Can you confirm if you’re using the Pro version as well? And is the user submitting the form signed in or signed out?
Please note that in the free version, the user would need to be signed in for the recipe to work. Pro is required to use anonymous recipes, and that’s what would be needed if you can’t be sure of the signed in state.
In either case, can you send us a screenshot of the recipe you’re using?
Also have a look at this article; maybe this would explain the issue you’re seeing: https://automatorplugin.com/knowledge-base/contact-form-7/

Thanks for the update and information to check. I completed the suggested update in your second reply and the triggers or logged but there is no action taking place.
Below is the screenshots you requested

Thanks for providing that screenshot. In your recipe, the trigger is “A user submits Contact Form 1, 10 times”. I can see in your trigger log that the form was submitted once. However, for the actions to run, the user will need to submit the form 10 times. If you want the recipe to run every time the form is submitted, you’ll need to change “10 times” to “1 time”. Let us know if that change doesn’t fix things.

Thanks for the assistance.
I have tried as suggested above and the action does show up on the logs. However I do not receive the emails sent used in the actions section.
Would you be able to login and check if there is something I am missing. Thanks

Hi @roscoestephen, it sounds like we’re getting closer! What do the action logs show? Are other emails going out from WordPress? Have you tried with an email logging plugin to confirm whether or not Automator is attempting to send emails?
Access also works for us but shouldn’t be shared here. If you want to provide access you can send details on our website or by email to [email protected].

Thanks for the update.
I have managed to get the email sending resolved but now face another challenge completely. Along with the email I used another action to change the users member role. I am using Ultimate member as the profile management plugin. The trigger and actions run well but I am not able to update the users profile even though I am the admin.
This is the message I receive.
This is not possible for security reasons.
Hi @roscoestephen, I’m going to mark this closed as it sounds like the original issue is resolved.
For the new question a new thread may be easier, but do you mean you’re editing the user’s profile in /wp-admin/ or using something in the front end with Ultimate Member? And do you mean Automator is conflicting, so when Automator is disabled you can update the user’s profile?
Thanks
