Posting a lot here lately but need to know something particular.

I had installed many minify, inline, move to footer, etc etc type plugins before coming across AO and now I’m a little confused about what I am seeing in my wp_options table in the database.

    There are many entries like:

    insert_js_name4
    insert_js_name1 – value is “jquery”
    move_all_script_infooter
    1-js
    2-js
    3-js
    etc
    etc

All very generic table entries. Yet there are a good amount in the wp_options that have “AO” or “Autoptimize” in the option name. Should I only be keeping those?

Are all these other entries from other plugins before?

I feel like if they are they are kind of making things screwy because they are all listed as YES for autoload and a bunch of them have blank option values, but a bunch do have values.

The ones that do have values kind of make me relate what is there to when I was trying to work things out with Speed Booster Pack. I deleted a few things lately from the wp_options that had SBP in the option name so it was obvious but I’ve left all these generic ones because I wasn’t sure if removing them all would break my AO setup if it was related to AO.

I figured worse case scenario I delete them all from the options table and AO breaks but then I just uninstall it and reinstall it and reconfigure everything and they would come back.

I thought better of that though and figured maybe Frank or someone here could just say definitively, “Yes, those are options that appear when using AO and don’t delete them” or “No, those are definitely form old plugins, so go ahead and delete them without worry.”

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

all AO’s options are prefixed with autoptimize_. you can find an -probably not 100% complete- list here

so yeah, looks like there’s a lot you can delete 🙂

    have a nice weekend,

    Frank,

How do I buy you a drink through this damn thing?

I just trashed all the suspect options and it was literally 51% of my database. Unreal. I hope this clears up a lot of problems. We’ll see.

Again, the level of commitment to support here is nothing short of impressive.

buying me a drink might prove difficult, but you could always leave a raving review (if not done already, that is) B-)
