I know of multiple people using it on wp engine, so there must be something specific to your context (theme + plugins + possibly wp engine settings).
So some questions/ pointers:
* can you check if there are any files in wp-content/cache/autoptimize/css and wp-content/cache/autoptimize/js?
* can you check if there are errors in your php errorlog?
* do you run any security plugin and if so have you tried disabling that temporarily?
* are you serving the autoptimized files statically (default) or do you have that option disabled (leading the files to be served by PHP)?
* have you tried disabling plugins selectively to see if this is a plugin conflict of some sort? Possibly also briefly switch themes?

I have a map on my website homepage. When I turn on Autoptimize, it does not allow the map to load. What should I do?
What should I do?
well …
1. read the troubleshooting tips in the FAQ
2. create a new thread if you can’t fix yourself instead of following up on unrelated threads
3. provide a lot more info, including what steps you tried yourself
