well, for “render blocking resources” look into “inline & defer CSS”, there’s more info in the AO FAQ
another interesting one is “preload key requests”, for that add https://designvice.co.uk/wp-content/themes/Divi/core/admin/fonts/modules.ttf to Settings -> Autoptimize -> Extra -> preload.

AO does not do auto cache cleaning as that can break things if a page cache has cached HTML referring to deleted Autoptimize files designvice. Additionally a fast growing page cache indicates bigger problems, so the better approach is to configure Autoptimize not to aggregate inline JS (and CSS) as it’s typically those that bust the cache.

yes, as indicated in https://blog.futtta.be/2016/09/15/autoptimize-cache-size-the-canary-in-the-coal-mine/ when the cache grows quickly then the site is not as fast as it could be and if depending on the amount of free disk-space on your server you _could_ run into more serious problems ..
