Ok
I will check one of the html alternatives. Are you sure they do the same thing? Which one would work best? I know that is hard to answer and I am just curious if you have an opinion.
Also, there is one in autoptimize called: “Also aggregate inline CSS?
Check this option for Autoptimize to also aggregate CSS in the HTML.”
But this one is not doing the same as the ones above maybe?
Also, is there an alternative in Autoptimize that helps with security for the website?
my preference obviously is with Autoptimize’s options 😉
aggregate inline CSS is different indeed.
security is not something AO can help with no.
I see 🙂
Also, there is an alternative called “Also aggregate inline JS?: Let Autoptimize also extract JS from the HTML. Warning: this can make Autoptimize’s cache size grow quickly, so only enable this if you know what you’re doing.”
Sounds dangerous 🙂 What happens when you check that box? Would it speed it up even further or not?
When you check that box the JavaScript that is added inline, in the HTML, is also moved to the autoptimized JS-file. The big advantage is (can be) that in that case you can also remove jquery.js from the JS exclusions, leaving you without any render-blocking JS-files. But it does come with potential downsides, so .. 🙂
OK what are the potential downsides? 🙂 I guess there is a risk reward here:)
Well, the cache size issues mentioned and the related issues explained here.
Hi again
I have recently updated my theme. When I updated the theme my site’s design was wrecked.
I finally came to the conclusion that it was the alternative, under “CSS Options”, that says “Aggregate CSS-files”, that made the site’s design break down. So when I pick this alternative, after the update of my theme, the whole design of the Site gets wrecked. But when this alternative is unchecked the site is visible again in its right look.
The thing is that if I don’t pick this alternative the site seems to get A LOT slower. So I would appreciate if someone could help me solve this issue. Because I want the site to be lightning fast but at the same time have its proper look. And work in all browsers.
Seems like when I uncheck this alternative the speed of the site goes from 90-95 down to like 50-60, on page speed insights. So I would much appreciate a solution to this issue.
I want to check this alternative but not the design of the site to break down.
