• Since today my Autoptimize plugin is not shown in my settings anymore, nor in my plugins.
However, when I tried to reinstall, I got this message:
(Translated from native language and data removed in CAPITAL LETTERS)

    Destination folder already exists. /data/sites/web/DIRECTORY/subsites/MYURL/wp-content/plugins/autoptimize/

    Plugin-installation failed.

    Any idea?

reinstalling does not work because apparently it is still there even when not visible in settings.

now for the reason why it would not be visible; a conflict with another plugin or a setting at your hoster maybe prohibiting the use of AO?

I have no clue why, because my settings are similar to my other two websites, I am using the same plugins, same provider, same theme > there the plugin is still visible in the side bar. How can I remove the plugin and re-install?

How can I remove the plugin and re-install?

use your hoster’s file manager or (s)ftp or a “file manager” plugin to remove autoptimize in wp-content/plugins.
