Just a guess, but try going to the wp-content folder > cache and delete the autoptimize directory. It may be an issue with a conflict with another cache plugin you may have running. Make a backup of your site before making these changes.
na, just clear any page cache(s) you might have and things should work π
Neither of these suggestions worked. Deleted all caches and deleted everything related to Autoptimize in the wp-content folder -> no change. Any other ideas? Please help!
can you provide your site’s URL so I can have a look at what is happening pippywp ?
sdveterinary.wpengine.com
It’s a staging site so there’s a login – here are the details: https://onetimesecret.com/secret/r3mqrtb8tpszh8nhqz7jl2y1fb4tneq
This is what it should look like (currently still has the Autoptimize plugin): https://www.smalldoorvet.com/
OK, had a quick look and Autoptimize is not active on the site any more as the word autoptimize is not found in the HTML and the CSS and JS are not optimized:

So if there are issues, those are not caused by AO I’m afraid pippywp .. :-/
But this problem only occurs when I delete Autoptimize… so surely it has to be causing it?
Not possible I’m afraid; AO when disabled (and provided all caches have been cleared) is gone and it does not make any changes to the original CSS/ JS (it replaces those on the fly by the autoptimized files).
The only thing that might be happening is that AO by accident ‘fixed’ a problem in the original CSS/ JS, which now with AO off is visible?
Ok, thank you for your help.
you’re welcome pippywp π
