    No idea really, a lot depends on your context (theme, plugins) and autoptimize settings and if you’re running a page caching plugin as well (you should). But it is possible that BWP works better for you, in which case you should not hesitate to use that 🙂

    Can I use both, and do they do redundant functions?

    Well, they both serve the exact same purpose. If I’m not mistaking BWP does not do HTML optimization, so that would be the only functional difference.

    Using both has been done before; I’ve seen people who use AO for JS optimization and BWP for CSS (or vice versa, not sure). I would only advise against optimizing JS (or CSS) both in AO & BWP, because that can break things.
