I’m using Kaspersky KIS and it took me over an hour to realize it was making the entire plugin unusable. Working on my localhost, I was able to exclude it’s ad blocking feature. Same with a demo live site.

I’m building a Directory site and need to have approximately 6 banner ads on six different pages that would rotate different business ads on each page at some as yet undetermined interval. I feel there’s no need to hack Google Analytics because almost all users and browsers are blocking ads.

So my question is, if I upgrade to Pro, is there a simple way to insert an ad for a client (text/ graphics, etc) so that it won’t get blocked? I use Elementor and can create an Ad but there is no way to have it rotate to a new “Ad”. So I’m hoping Advanced Ads has a “SIMPLE’ way to accomplish this. I have read https://wpadvancedads.com/manual/ad-blockers/
But want to make sure I understand the process.

    TIA

  • Hi TIA,

    Thank you for your request.

First of all, you should be able to display image or text ads so that an AdBlocker does not block them.

In the tutorial you linked to, you can already find all the necessary information that is required for this:

    1. wisely chosen filenames, which do not allow any inference to ads
    2. activation of the AdBlocker Disguise.

You can already do all this with the basic version of Advanced Ads.

The Pro version offers you the possibility of detecting users with activated AdBlocker and showing other ads to these users from the beginning.

I use Elementor and can create an Ad but there is no way to have it rotate to a new “Ad”. So I’m hoping Advanced Ads has a “SIMPLE’ way to accomplish this.

Advanced Ads Pro provides an option to refresh ad spots within a specific time. I guess that this refresh feature is what you are looking for.

feel there’s no need to hack Google Analytics because almost all users and browsers are blocking ads.

I’m not sure if we’re talking about the same Google service here. Google Analytics takes care of tracking your website. Our Tracking add-on integrates with it so that you can evaluate ad tracking in Google Analytics. But you can also track with local methods.

Google AdSense, on the other hand, takes care of ads. Even though users with AdBlocker enabled block such ads, fortunately, not all of them do.

    Best regards,
    Joachim
