Avatar button not working

Hi I’m trying to upload a photo to use as an avatar on my wordpress fictive theme, when I click on the update profile link button on the users profile page nothing happens, I’m set as an author so should have upload capabilities.

Have I missed a simple setting in wordpress or within your plugin.
