Hi Velociryx –
Which button are you referring to? The global “Create a Group” button on the Groups directory page, or the “Create a Member Group” button within another group?
Are you running a single instance of BP in a multisite WP install? Or are you using a BP “multi-site” plugin? I don’t test this with any BP multi-site plugins, so I may be of limited help if this ends up being an issue with that.

Hello David, and thank you for the reply! I’m not 100% sure I understand your question, but I am running a multi-site installation, and am using the buddy press plugin (along with a number of other plugins that feed off of the buddy press core).
The way my site is structured is that only a select group (just me, for the time being) will be able to create top level groups, but inside those (broad category) containers, members will (hopefully!) be able to join those top level groups and create their own sub groups beneath them.
That’s the button that “goes missing.” Inside a top level group, when creating member level groups.
The button is present for me (super admin) but missing for my test account (standard registered member).
Did I further muddy the waters? 🙂
the site is: http://playtheplanet.org
Tell you what sir…I’d very like to hire you to get it working on my blog…shoot me a note if you’d be available for something like that and let’s talk particulars! 🙂
