I’ve created about 200 WordPress driven websites in the last 7 years, 5 of which I have used Gutenberg as the main content framework to ensure I spend a decent amount of time getting used to the editor. It’s a joke and I will be avoiding using it from now on. It should still be in Alpha stage dev, it’s full of bugs. Compared to Elementor there is no competition.

    Hi, thanks for the feedback!

What were the worst bugs and other challenges that you encountered?

    Hi Ian,

The final straw which led to this rather frustrated comment was using the columns block to simply display 2 images side by, repeated for a few rows. The editor interface was all over the place, tool bars displaying way out of position and various functions overlapping each other. I had to keep updating the page just to reset and fix the layout. Using the single image block within these columns, when I viewed the front end the images were tiny and out of position. It was not intuitive to manage even this simple layout. Perhaps there were conflicts with the theme, but after an hour I gave up and added Elementor.

Thanks for your reply Ian and all the best,

Thanks for the specific feedback, that’s very helpful! I totally agree that the Columns block is currently very difficult to work with 🙁
