Hi vipteam,
Can you tell me a bit more about your test?
– Which theme(s) did you test?
– Which AWPCP pages are problematic?
– Which version did you test against?
– What version of WP?
– What devices are you testing on? Tablets? Phones? Both? Which ones?
A lot of questions. OK. AWPCP is definitely one of my favorites. And my intention is to use this plugin on my website.
I’ll this taken seriously. Tomorrow I will install the plugin to other responsive websites and I’ll get back with detailed results and screenshots.
Thank you for your willingness to make AWPCP plugin responsive.
WordPress v3.61. It is not satisfactorily that none of responsive WP Themes (7 of 7). No matter which. It is not a matter of compatibility. Fault in the design of the plugin. Well, it’s final. Let’s go forward.
The problem is the width 462px and less. Not responsive in the true sense if it does not work on 320px. On larger browsers also not ideal. It can be seen but it is not pleasant to the eye. It does not look professional.
Only the width of 768 and upwards seems satisfactory (desktop).
Content and images are not fluid. Input fields are fixed. Should be stretchy.
Here are the problems (Make container divs that have widths in percentages. And make plugin fluid):
1. /awpcp/place-ad/ — Select Payment/Category
2. /awpcp/place-ad/ — Enter Ad Details
3. /awpcp/ — Main Page
4. /awpcp/browse-categories/ — Category
5. /awpcp/browse-ads/ — Browse Ads
6. /awpcp/reply-to-ad/ — Reply to ad
7. /awpcp/search-ads/ — Search ads
8. /awpcp/view-categories/ — View Categories
9. /awpcp/browse-categories/ — Browse Categories
Screenshots you can see here http://www.enter4profit.com, right at the homepage.
Install one of the responsive theme. The simplest way to localhost (eg XAMPP). Here at ww.wp.xz.cn a few simple bootstrap 3 themes (wordpress starter theme).
Download the PaleMoon browser for desktop. Tools > Web Developer > Responsive Design View. See the following:
320×480 iPhone 3, 4
360×640 Samsung Galaxy S3
Thanks in advance
Here is the solution for the pages of AWPCP plugin with tables. A better solution than this does not exist:
Responsive Tables (View demo “No More Tables”)
This refers to problematic pages that are in the list above. Here you can put it all. Images, input fields, text, …
OK, thanks for the detailed response. We’ll look into it. Sounds like it may take some time to get all the issues ironed out.
Slowly but surely. We will not be late for the plane 🙂
Something I’m currently working on my website. Please see screenshots for fifteen minutes.
Thanks in advance
Is this now responsive?? Please do let us know.
Thank you
No. Unfortunately, the plugin is not responsive.
This is something we’re still working on–we’ve been busy with BuddyPress integration which was more frequently requested than this. We still have this on the list.
