    Hello,
I installed the plugin, then removed it because it stopped displaying the google fonts I chose when it was activated. But since then the fonts are still not displayed in front. I still see them in the backoffice though. Any idea of how I could get back to what it was before I installed the plugin? Thanks

@sowsow Once you deactivate the plugin, it will be like you never had it active in the first place with a few differences that you can read here: https://assetcleanup.com/docs/what-happens-once-i-deactivate-the-plugin-are-the-settings-preserved/

It’s possible that someone else installed the plugin on your website and deactivate it (preserving the settings), leaving the following option enabled: “Settings” -> “Google Fonts” -> “Remove all”. When you reactivated the plugin, the enabled option stored in the database took effect again. This scenario happens when one hires a developer and he/she starts using optimization plugins, then deactivating them, forgetting about the settings that were done. This doesn’t happen often, but you can’t exclude it as it happened before with other plugin users.

If that’s not the case and you’re sure the Google Fonts weren’t deactivated via Asset CleanUp, then this is an issue related to another plugin or the theme. There’s no way Asset CleanUp could still have an effect of your website if it’s deactivated as it doesn’t make changes directly to original .css and .js files. It creates (just like other plugins out there), it’s own caching directory (e.g. /wp-content/cache/asset-cleanup) where the altered versions of the files are stored. Please clear the caching of your website and test this again. It could be the fact that you accessed a page from your website that it still cached and makes references to files stored in the Asset CleanUp’s cached directory.

Hope it makes sense and let me know if I can further assist you at your earliest convenience! Happy to solve any problems that you might encounter as soon as possible!
