    Have you got any instruction I can reference as to how I can make sure my uploads folder and all backwpup folders are writeable.

    I’ve created a new back up and have successfully done so to dropbox, but this error continues and I cannot see how or where to resolve it.

    If when in my WP dash i “Click here to let WP-DBManager try to fix it”. I get the following text:

    “`Checking Security Status
    .htaccess is missing from

    index.php is missing from

    Checking Backup Status
    Checking Backup Folder () …

    exec() enabled.

    Please assist as to how to make back up folder writeable?

    @seabass888
    WP-DBManager plugin also reported your website was not writeable, the easiest way to fix this is simply to contact your hoster, tell them about the issue then they will resolve it for you.
    If you want to do it yourself, log in to cPanel or using the FTP client to change the file permission to 775.
    I found a tutorial on Youtube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTjWEyTA4jI

    Thanks for the reply.

    On the WP dash message it says: “Backup folder is NOT writable. Please CHMOD it to ‘777’.”

    in your reply you state: “If you want to do it yourself, log in to cPanel or using the FTP client to change the file permission to 775.”, but shouldn’t i change it to 777 and not 775?

    Regards,

    @seabass888
    I think 775 should be fine, if it still does not work, you can change it to 777. But actually, I would recommend you contact the hoster and tell them to resolve the issue since it is a server permission issue.
