Backend broken after update.

    I went to post a blog from my cell and saw the update button so I clicked it.
    After it was done updating, I made a new post and started a blog entry but then realized it was not showing properly on my cell so I decided to move to my computer.
    I was able to go to my website, jynuine.com, and log in from the login page however it loaded a white page for the backend.
    I restarted Safari and same issue.

    So I downloaded Firefox (this was a new mac install) and I tried from there. Same thing.
    If I go back to my home page it shows I’m logged in with the admin bar above, however the links either load a blank page or this:

    Why is my website broken?

    is working quite well, a bit slow to me, but working well (like name suggest, I access your site from Paris FR and it’s quite fast – no big issue).

    Thank you, sometimes I cross my fingers and squeeze my eyes shut before clicking that ‘update’ button…

    That’s a bit sad, though with WP 4.4 you might cross fingers again. Personally I put WP “core updates” on, so no more cross fingers.

    Yeah I’m struggling because nothing seems to be working backend.
    – I renamed the plugins folder to ‘plugins_old’: not fixed
    – I renamed the current theme to add ‘old’ at the end: not fixed
    – I replaced the database with a backup from pre-update: not fixed

    Im frusterated.

    I don’t seem to have an .htaccess file. I seem to remember my host and I did something with it a year or two ago because it was hacked with things added to it. Their fix actually broke the site more and I forgot how we fixed that. I don’t seem to have one at all, now.
