    Hi,

    Great plugin with beautiful galleries!

We encountered an issue with the galleries in the backend, which appeared after the last update to WordPress 6.8.2. It can be observed both in Pages and Posts created with Gutenberg blocks. When you reopen the Page/Post in order to edit it, the gallery blocks are shifted over other content (screenshot attached – example of texts with 2 galleries). This only happens for Pages/Posts created after the WP update, for the old ones there is no change.

We’ve tested it with all other plugins deactivated and with some other themes but the issue persists.

In frontend there is no shifting, everything looks great. Please advise of a possible solution as the shifting makes it difficult to edit the content.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
    Best regards.

    Hey @ivovmz! 👋

I couldn’t reproduce the same issue using the latest version of WordPress with the latest version of the plugin. Does this happen only with Meow Gallery? If you try with an older version of Meow Gallery, do you also get the issue?

Also, could you check your installed plugins and let me know if you’re using the Gutenberg plugin? On the latest versions of WordPress, you don’t actually need it — it’s meant for beta features and can sometimes cause unexpected results.

    Hi,

Please try to reproduce the issue with more than 1 Meow Gallery on the same Page / Post, with only one – there is no shifting.

We have reproduced the issue on several websites, hosted with different companies and using different themes and web servers – LiteSpeed and Apache.

The problem is known since the WordPress update to 6.8.2 with Meow Gallery – last version and the previous one.

There is no shifting with any other blocks or galleries. We do not use Gutenberg plugin.

Thank you in advance for investigating further.
    Best regards.

    Hi,

Do you have any updates on the case? The issue is NOT resolved!

This is happening to me on the backend too on WP 6.8.2. Only on my post type with a custom field if that helps.

Unfortunately, this plugin has no support at all. After 1 month we still do not have any answer on the topic. We are moving on another solution for our galleries.

    Good luck!

    Hi @ivovmz,

Thanks for raising this and for the details you’ve shared. I personally haven’t looked at this issue yet, so apologies if it felt like nothing was moving forward. Since both you and @bluegreenproject are experiencing the same behavior, it would definitely help us to investigate more closely and try to fix it once and for all 🙂

The tricky part is that we haven’t been able to reproduce it on our side, and no one else has reported it so far, which makes it a bit of a mystery. The best way forward would be to work together: if you can reach out to our support directly (mention you are coming from this thread here) and provide access details or more specifics, we’ll have a much better chance of identifying what’s happening.

If you still have time, I’d love to solve this properly with you.

Just emailed support with a couple screenshots and my php info. I tried uninstalling WP Super Cache, but that didn’t solve the issue. Thanks!
