I want to set the background colour of my test site to green. I followed the guide of this Spicethemes video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaX-IxeaOpI

But setting the colour via Customize -> Core Options -> Colors -> Background Color has not results on the rendered webpages. Why is this the case?

My environment: WordPress 6.7.2, NewsBlogger theme 0.2.5.2

    HI

    Thanks for contacting to us.

You are using a full-width layout. The Background color settings will not work with the Full Width layout settings.

    • Go to Appearance >> Customize >> Global >> Theme Layout
    • Choose a theme layout, boxed . More detail See the snapshot.

Then Go set custom background color as your need.

Let us know if you have confusion.

    Thanks and Regards
