Background image disappears when using shortcode

Loving this theme, it’s working out great.

One issue I’ve come across is that my home header section and contact-us section backgrounds disappear after adding a shortcode for Marketo (who my company uses for forms). Basically, I stripped away all of the Pirate Form fields from my child-theme front-page.php file, kept all the div’s and added my shortcode. The form appears on the page but it’s over a gray background. At the same time, the home header section background is also replaced by a gray background. When I remove the shortcode, the backgrounds return. Looking at the Google inspector, the overlay background for each section have also disappeared.

I have tried two different Marketo plugins, “Marketo Forms” and “Marketo Forms and Tracking”. I am currently using the former, with an embed code of [marketo id=”1189″].
