I do know how to add a background picture. But after uploading a picture, and I click “Insert Into Post” the page just gets blank, and the picture is not being added to the form.

Here is a summary about the solution we came up for this issue:
The LINK URL field has to be empty before inserting the image into post. This means you have to remove any links present in this field, or push the none button before proceeding further.
