Hi guys,

Nice plugin!

Can I suggest the processing of emails (Gmail etc) are done as a background process. It seems that the script executes as a procedure and won’t load pages until the email has sent or error.

This actually slows down the load time of pages. Including the ADMIN area.

If this is already implemented in some add-on feature, kindly point me to the right information.

Currently, it’s not possible with our plugin, but we will look into possibilities and try to add this type of feature soon.

You could take a look at this plugin for inspiration – it has a background-mailer feature which takes the page load delays away:

Obviously, you will need to write your own code.

Is the roadmap visible somewhere? I am also looking for a mail solution that handles sending of mails a-sync.

Hi @saens @ranzee,

Thanks for the follow-up. Currently we don’t have any public roadmap, but just for your information; within the free POST SMTP extension, our new optimized log section is in Beta, which we may release by next month. We are also working on increasing support for PHP 8.1 to avoid any depreciation notices and to make it compatible with future PHP releases. Apart from that, we are almost done with our Reports and tracking PRO addon, which we may release soon.

Check out the beta here.

Make sure to try it out on your staging website first and report any bugs to us!
