I have the box ticked to create a single file from the backup. But it creates a whole bunch of files. I am testing the free version btw and am on the latest WP version.

Bug? Or do I do something wrong?

We explain why a backup can be split into multiple parts and how to get 1 file in this article.

Let us know if that resolves the issue.

Please note that the settings are only recommended for sites with sufficient server resources. Otherwise, the backup task may fail.
