Backing up with different version of phpmyadmin

I’m backing up my database but my version (version 2.10.01) of phpmyadmin seems to be slight different than the one used in the WP backing up database DOC. There it said that I should choose “compression: zipped” but there is no such option in my interface. I can just save the file and it’s then saved as a SQL document. My database is 2.2 MB large and the backed up SQL document is 658 KB large.

Is my database properly backed up now? Even though it’s not saved as a zip file but a SQL file which is much smaller than my actual database?
