Can you tell me what version of My Calendar you’re using?

We are using version 3.2.9.
Thanks!
Where is the data entered and viewed? Is the text “John Smith’s home” part of the event title, or is it a location label? Are you seeing this in the main calendar, on the individual event page, in an upcoming events list, or in more than one of those environments?
I can’t reproduce this based on what I currently know, so I’ll need some more info.

Yes, “John Smith’s home” is part of the title within a single event. When published, it shows up correctly on the full view calendar, but adds the slash (“John Smith\’s home”) on the individual event page view.
Thanks!
What theme are you using? This could be something happening in the theme, given the context.
Can’t see anything in Astra (the free version) that would suggest a problem. Can you share a link?

I haven’t been able to find a way to reproduce this; but I don’t have access to a lot of the Astra Pro options using the free version, so it could be related to something fairly specific. It could also stem from some other plug-in running filters on the event. Can you try disabling other plug-ins or temporarily switching to a default theme to check this?
Hi Joe — I’m having the same issue and have connected it to the setting to use ‘Pretty Permalinks for events’.
Compare these 2 urls:
https://ags.duke.edu/mc-events/policies-politics-promises-bidens-first-month/
and
https://ags.duke.edu/mc-events/policies-politics-promises-bidens-first-month/?mc_id=394
The 2nd is what links from the calendar and shows the / before the apostrophe.
If I turn off the pretty permalinks url I go to this url:
https://ags.duke.edu/my-calendar/?mc_id=394 which is fine but not the design we want.
Can you advise?
Thanks!
Stephanie
(also, I switched themes, got rid of other plugins etc etc and have isolated it to this setting)
Thanks for tracking this down! That helps me identify exactly what’s happening, so I’ll get this fixed in the next update.
Awesome! Do you have a timeline? I have a client I need to get back to on this ASAP.
Soon. I’m working through my next update now, and it could be as soon as today. That’s not a promise, however…
Should be fixed in today’s release.
