Backup archive exceeds hosting limits

    When I run a full backup, the ZIP file grows beyond 1.5 GB and fails because my hosting limits PHP memory and upload size. Is it possible to split backups into smaller parts or exclude media folders? I only need database and plugins for most backups. A partial backup option would save a lot of server space.

    Hi there,

    Yes, it is possible to split the backups into smaller sizes using the Split archives every: setting.
    You can find this in Settings >> Expert settings (Show expert settings) >> Split archives every:

    You can also choose to excluded parts of the backup in the Settings >> Include in files backup:
    In your case you can uncheck the boxes for everything except plugins and click ‘Save Changes’.
