    Hi, I’m planning to move a small site soon. Before exporting, is it better to clear cache and unused files first, or can I export the site as it is?

    I hope you are well.

    You can absolutely export your site as it is. All-in-One WP Migration will handle the migration just fine either way.

    That said, clearing your cache and removing unused files beforehand is a good practice because it will reduce the size of your export file, making the process faster and smoother.

    Additionally, when you go to export, you can click on the Advanced Options to selectively exclude things you don’t need (such as cache files, spam comments, post revisions, themes, or plugins you’re not using). This gives you flexibility to keep your export lean without needing to manually clean everything up first.

    In short, not required, but recommended for a smaller, quicker export. Good luck with your move!
