Before version 2.2 I normally received my backups on my gmail account with the back-up.sql.gz attached to the email.
In other words there was a attachment on the mail.
Now with WP 2.2 I get the sql.gz file but a multi-part message in MIME format? So no separate file but a lot of code in the message without a file.

Can somebody tell me what to do to get a file instead of a useless peace of code?

    Many thanks in advance.

Are you using WordPress Database Backup-plugin by Il Filosofo?

I had the same problem, but it was fixed by upgrading to the latest version of the plugin: 2.1.1

    Thanks Mimo,
    I’m gonna have a look.

WordPress 2.2 changed the way it sends emails, creating this problem. Upgrading to the newest version of the plugin (which you should do anyways to fix a security issue) should correct the problem.
