Dear @artsdotter ,
Thank you for reporting this to us.
Could you let us know the version of the plugin you’re using?
Also, have you tried hard refreshing? If no, could you try doing so and let us know?

The website is using backupguard version 1.4.3
Do you mean hard refreshing the browser? I have done that. And I’ve tried multiple browsers – Mac Chrome, Firefox and Safari. I have also purged the website’s cache.
I have identical setups on numerous other websites (theme, plugins, hosting), none of which have replicated the problem.
Is there a way to fully delete the plugin and all the files and reinstall? I have local copies of previous backups, so it is ok if they get deleted.

Follow up: I scheduled an hourly backup, waited, and it properly made a backup. So my problem is limited specifically to the Backup button itself having an issue.
Dear @artsdotter ,
Thank you for letting me know.
Could you check the Console and see if there is a JavaScript error there?
P.S. Yes, you can delete and re-install the plugin as well. But let’s find out the reason first.

There is and error ending in “…backup_guard_modalManualBackup” Not sure how to get you the full error msg?
And I did try deleting the plugin before, but it maintained some info so if it comes to it, I’d need directions on how to erase all previous files. FWIW, I also have a BackupGuard Pro acct – I just prefer to use the free version for regular use so the autoupdates of the plugin can occur.
Dear @artsdotter ,
Thanks for letting us know.
Could you send a screenshot from that error message?
Also, can you, please, tell us the plugin version? Is it the latest one?

The site is now using Backupguard 1.4.4 but the issue still hasn’t resolved.
Error screengrab here.
Dear @artsdotter ,
Thank you for the screenshot and for the information.
Could you uninstall the plugin fully this time and then install it back?
Let’s try this and see how it goes.

I just did, and like the last time I tried uninstalling, it didn’t fix the problem. My 2 previous backups show up again, so clearly there is still backupguard data being saved. Is there a technique for truly deleting all data for a clean install?

Also – I cleared the website’s cache after uninstalling the plugin, before reinstalling it.
