Backup completing but getting error

Hi there,
The debug code is BMI-0JvIDYSv-76239.
I’m migrating it from a local environment to a staging one, the plugin states that the migration was successful but on the front end I get this error : The theme directory “backup_migration_restoration_in_progress” does not exist.
Can you please help ?

Please upload the backup file manually to the destination site, and then run Restore. You can manage all of this from the plugin section “Manage & Restore Backups”.

I tried both ways, with a link and by uploading it manually and still get the same outcome unfortunately.
Is there anything else I can try?

@mariuscautis1 please check if the backup file is actually valid:
On your local machine, take a peek inside the backup (zip) file, check if you can see the content inside, including the manifest json file. If you can’t see it, it means that the backup file is not valid, and the new one shall be created.
In that case, please share the debug log from the source site:
Please navigate to plugin section Troubleshooting > Check advanced options and click on the button:

In case that the backup seems valid, please go through these steps on the site where you want to run migration/restoration:
- Go to “Other options” section
- Disable PHP CLI checking: https://prnt.sc/1sljr31
- Save “Other options” section
- Force stop both processes: https://prnt.sc/1trv1tm
Once you do that, try to run your migration process using the same URL or file.

Was that done on the source site (where the original backup was made) or the destination site?

hi, I created a backup from the local environment, uploaded the backup on to the new website, followed your steps, ran the backup installation and still got the same error on the front end (please see link: https://apertus.tempurl.host/) , even though I don’t receive any errors when the process is running or after it’s finished.
Not sure what to do next,

Alright, so despite the successful restoration on the live site, the site seems to be blank, I guess that is the issue and that you haven’t changed anything on the site since the restoration has been done.
If you still have the local site, could you please generate the debug log on it and share it with us, so we can check if there were any hidden issues there, during the backup creation?

You delivered a log from a backup process, which was by the way finished successfully. However that is not what we need.
We need logs from the site where you did the restoration(migration).
